In the IPL 2024, Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) and Mumbai Indians (MI) faced off in a thrilling match at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium. Kishan was crucially removed by Shahbaz Ahmed, and in the fourth over, captain Pat Cummins eliminated Rohit. MI Vs SRH, IPL 2024 Records:

  • Hyderabad also created the most runs in the opening ten overs of the IPL. The previous best was 131/3, achieved in an IPL 2021 match between MI and SRH. This time, Hyderabad scored 148/2 in the first 10 overs, helped by Head and Sharma.
  • Heinrich Klaasen and Aiden Markram, two South African batsmen, amassed the highest runs for the fourth wicket (116*), surpassing the previous record of 93* set by MC Henriques and Yuvraj Singh against the Delhi Capitals (DC) in 2017.
  • Still, it was most likely the fastest record to be surpassed. Abhishek Sharma quickly broke his teammate’s record, scoring 50 in just 16 balls. Before this game, David Warner was the SRH batter with the fastest fifty-second innings record. He scored 50 off 20 balls on two occasions.
  • Hyderabad ended their innings at 277/3, the highest ever in the tournament’s history. Previously, Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) held the record. Thanks to Chris Gayle’s 175 against Pune Warriors in 2013, RCB scored 263/5.
