Introduction of the Taisor SUV
The Taisor small SUV was introduced by Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) today in India. Its base price is 37.74 lakh, with higher variants costing up to 313.04 lakh. The company will be able to reenter the A-SUV market with the Taisor, which is a rebadged version of the Suzuki Maruti Fronx and slightly more expensive than that as well.
Taisor Specifications and Pricing
The Taisor, which is marketed as the smallest Toyota SUV in India, comes with 1.0L turbo, 1.2L gasoline, and E-CNG engine options. Both a 5-speed manual and a 6-speed automatic transmission are available for the 1.0L turbo. The 1.2L E-CNG has a 5-speed manual transmission, but the 1.2L gasoline has an intelligent gear shift (IGS) and a 5-speed manual transmission.
Engine Options and Performance
With the 1.0L Turbo option, the Taisor can produce up to 100.06 PS at 5,500 rpm and is said to have a 21.5 km/] manual and 20.0 km/] automatic fuel efficiency. With a fuel efficiency of 21.7 km/1 for manual and 22.8 km/1 for automatic transmissions, the 1.2L gasoline engine produces 89.73 PS at 6000 rpm. A fuel efficiency of 28.5 km/ke is claimed for the Taisor E-CNG version.
