After releasing its first electric scooter approximately six years ago, Ather Energy has now introduced its second model, the Ather Rizta. The Rizta’s prices range from Rs 1.10 lakh to Rs 1.45 lakh (all figures are introductory ex-showroom). The Rizta is noticeably larger than the sleek 450 models because it is intended for families looking for a scooter.

Range, Battery, and Models

The all-new Rizta has been made available in two models, the Rizta S and Rizta Z, each with three variants, according to the official release. The scooter with advanced technology has a distinct battery configuration. A 2.9 kWh battery powers the base model, and a 3.7 kWh battery powers the top model, the Rizta Z. The former is said to have a respectable 123 km of range on a single charge, while the latter can reach 160 km with a full top-up.

Maximum Speed and Features

With a top speed of 80 kmph, all trims provide riders with the choice between two riding modes: Zip and SmartEco. In addition, it has some powerful ride assistance features like Auto Hold, Reverse Mode, and Magic Twist.

Tarun Mehta, Co-Founder and CEO of Ather Energy, stated during the launch event: “We entered the two-wheeler market with our performance scooter, the 450 series, which was recognized in the industry.” With the Rizta, we are now entering the family market. Its design and engineering put the Indian family first. It upgrades from the market’s traditional scooters, in our opinion, because it prioritizes important features like comfort, safety, and connected technology. The qualities, confidence, and safety that Ather has proposed will be reflected in Rizta.
