Sanjay Nirupam criticizes Congress

One day following his expulsion from the party, Sanjay Nirupam, a former Congress leader, took aim at his former party, claiming that it has five centers of power. Nirupam had earlier submitted his resignation letter to the party president.

The Distributed Organizational Structure of Congress

“A party for Congress is a dispersed party. Although party leaders have previously claimed that the party’s ideology lacks direction, Mr. Nirupam stated that the party’s organizational structure is currently dispersed.

Speaking about the Congress’s organizational structure, Mr. Nirupam stated, “In the past, the Congress had a single center of power, a coterie, and all the other leaders used to fight against them. It may surprise you to learn that the Congress party currently has five power centers.”

Identifying each of the five centers of power, Mr. Nirupam revealed that each has a distinct caucus and lobby that engages in conflict with one another.

Five Centers of Power in Congress

Each of the five power centers has a unique caucus and lobby that are in conflict with one another. Like me, lakhs of workers find themselves stuck in the midst of this. First among these five centers is Sonia Gandhi, followed by Rahul Gandhi, his sister Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, and President Mallikarjun Kharge in fourth place. Those who surround him lack political convictions and have unexpectedly risen to positions of authority after joining forces with Kharge. Congress General Secretary Organization KC Venugopal is the final center of power.”

“Those who were deserving are in bad shape and are getting worse. I was watching this for a few years before growing impatient,” he continued.

The former member of the Rajya Sabha also made fun of his previous party, claiming that they had ultimately wasted an A-4-sized piece of paper.

Setting Off Resignation and Removal

“I sent Mallikarjun Kharge my letter of resignation yesterday at approximately 10:40 p.m. I believe that my statement in the resignation letter triggered them immediately thereafter. It’s possible that they decided to expel him from the party because they felt that remaining silent would be too much. So, in a nutshell, “they (Congress) have finally wasted an A-4 size paper,” Mr. Nirupam stated on Thursday during a press conference.

Earlier in the day, Mr. Nirupam was taken off the Congress party’s roster of celebrity endorsers for the Lok Sabha general elections of 2024.

The action was taken in response to his recent comments made during seat-sharing negotiations for the Lok Sabha election against Shiv Sena, an INDIA block partner led by Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray.
