Chance Perdomo and his acting career
Perdomo (19 October 1996 – 30 March 2024) was born in Los Angeles (Los Angeles County, California) and grew up in Southampton (Southampton, England). Following his graduation from high school, Perdomo studied law before making his acting debut in the CBBC series Hetty Feather in 2017. For his performance in the BBC drama Killed by My Debt, he received a nomination for best actor at the 2019 Bafta Television Awards. Perdomo told BBC Newsbeat that he had been “overwhelmed” by the response to Killed by My Debt, a documentary based on the true story of Jerome Rogers, a motorcycle courier in London who found himself in crushing debt and took his own life, following his nomination for the best actor Bafta award that same year.
In February 2018, he made headlines around the world when it was revealed that he had been cast as Ambrose Spellman in the Netflix series Chilling Adventures of Sabrina. He was recognized as one of the 2019 Bafta “Breakthrough Brits” for his performance in the Chilling Adventures of Sabrina. Some condolences from the known fellows
We’re having trouble interpreting this. In a joint statement, the deeply saddened Gen V producers said, “Chance was always charming and smiling, an enthusiastic force of nature, an incredibly talented performer, and more than anything else, just a very kind, lovely person.” It doesn’t even make sense to write about him in the past tense. We sincerely apologize to Chance’s family and are in deep sorrow for the loss of our friend and coworker. Hug your loved ones tonight. They expanded.
