A winning combination
The Punjab Kings won a dramatic game against the Titans thanks to the excellent performances of sub-Ashutosh Sharma and pilot Singh. Sharma and Singh struck 3 boundaries off an over by Azmatullah Omarzai and 18 runs off Mohit’s next over. Darshan Nalkande dismissed Sharma in the final over, but Singh hit an outside-edged boundary and sneaked a leg-bye off the final shot to bring the game to an exciting conclusion.
Gill establishes and maintains it
Shubman Gill batted all 20 overs but faced only 48 balls. Despite the limited pitch, he managed to unleash a good range of strokes, resulting in an 89* score, the highest individual score of IPL 2024. His silken lofts, intentional outside edges, and forehand slaps showcased his skill in the field.

Gill’s innings was aided by the contributions of Saha, Williamson, Sudharsan, and Tewatia. Saha and Williamson contributed to stands worth 29 and 40, while Sudharsan matched Gill’s shot-for-shot. Problems facing Rashid
With nine sixes in IPL 2024, Rashid Khan’s economy rate of 9.06 is his lowest in an IPL season. Jitesh Sharma outlined him twice, which resulted in back-to-back sixes in the 16th over. Because Khan appears to have trouble with additional duty, Titans are looking to him more frequently as a result of Mohammed Shami’s absence from powerplay and death overs.
